The campaign is over and the results are in!
The last time I looked I had over 57,000 votes, and I almost won in the San Diego County portion of my district!

We didn't win the election, but we did gain in so many ways!
We've all made new friends and learned about our communities!
I've many new contacts that will forever enrich my life.  And, I reconnected with people from my high school, college, and MBA school!

There are so many people who contributed to my efforts!

I especially appreciate all the time, energy, encouragement, and compliments I got from Nonie Fickling! She is a wonderful worker, steadfast friend and sincere person!  I could never have done it without her!

There's lots of other people I will also be thanking.  Some people gave money -- some a lot and some a little, but it all adds up!
Some people gave ideas and helped with strategy!  Some gave creativity for my website, mailers, etc.  Some gave organizing skills.  Some gave parties.  Some conneected me to new people.  Some gave time and energy in physical work like precinct walking and putting up yard signs.  Others gave time to put labels and stamps on envelopes in the office!  It amazes me to think of all the people and all the hours spent!

But, the most important contribution I always felt was support for my candidacy and belief that we can make a difference.  And, we did!

We really do have serious issues to address in California related to education, the envirnment, the economic crisis of our country and the sad state of the California budget.  So, I will be watching what's happening in California and definitely will participate in some way.  And, I look forward to keeping in touch!

Thank you!
Judy
